Flange bearing housings from the FCM500 A/B series are designed for accommodating self-aligning ball or roller bearings with a clamping sleeve. Equipped with a felt seal, these housings allow for relubrication through a grease nipple. The option to choose between a closed cover (A-Type) or an open cover (B-Type) adds versatility to their applications.

FCM housings are predominantly furnished with a felt seal, which is supplied as an integral part of the housing and does not require a separate order. It is essential to immerse the felt strips in hot oil for a few minutes before installation to ensure lasting protection.
Fill the bearing's free space completely with grease, and the housing's free space to 20-40% volume. Use 40% grease fill for side relubrication, and 20% for outer ring relubrication. In highly contaminated or slow-speed environments, fill the housing to 70–80%.
The housings are predominantly furnished with a felt seal, which is supplied as an integral part of the housing and does not require a separate order. It is essential to immerse the felt strips in hot oil for a few minutes before installation to ensure lasting protection.
GG20 offers excellent machinability and is highly heat and corrosion-resistant. Additionally, this material provides outstanding finishing capabilities and exhibits excellent properties concerning sound and vibration damping. However, its strength and wear resistance are limited.
