The undivided housings of the HBND series are fundamentally crafted from cast steel. Sealing is achieved through multi-thread labyrinth rings or labyrinth covers. The labyrinth rings are securely fastened on the shafts using tensioning elements. The installed spherical roller bearings are lubricated with grease for efficient performance. Heavy duty housings made from steel
The non-split housings of the HBND series are specifically designed for the installation of self- aligning roller bearings. The shaft diameter ranges from 60 to 670 mm. The sealing is achieved through the use of labyrinth rings. The bearing seat inside the housing is precision-machined to the G7 tolerance class. The standard material for these housings is GS45 steel casting. Upon customer request, these housings can also be manufactured from a different material and alternative sealing options can be provided.
HBND housings demand precise installation utilizing suitable tools and employing cutting-edge mechanical mounting methodologies. Each associated component is required to adhere to specific foundational criteria.
HBND plummer block housings and THD take-up housings are compact and robust units made from spheroidal graphite cast iron (covers from grey cast iron). Their non-split design ensures high stiffness and suitability for heavy radial loads in all directions. With a narrow build, they are ideal for tight spaces. HBND housings have machined base ends for precise alignment, and all but the smallest size come with an eye bolt for safe handling. Painted in blue (RAL 5007), they offer corrosion protection according to ISO 12944-2 (category C2). Unpainted surfaces are protected by a rust inhibitor and the units can be repainted if needed.
Our standard HBND plummer block housings and HSPA take-up housings present a robust solution with outstanding stiffness for demanding applications. Their slim profile makes them ideal for limited spaces. Precision machining facilitates alignment, and most housings feature an eye bolt for easy handling. These qualities make them a reliable choice for precise and space-efficient applications.
Backed by precision manufacturing: Crafted from high-quality materials, these housings exhibit exceptional resilience against loads, highlighting their durability and reliability.
HBND Plummer Block Housings and HSPA Take-Up Housings come equipped with labyrinth seals as the default configuration. Additionally, they are compatible with sealed spherical roller bearings, with specialized variants offered to accommodate taconite heavy-duty seals.
GS45 is an unalloyed cast steel commonly used in general mechanical engineering. Due to its higher carbon content, its weldability is lower compared to GS38. GS45 represents a castable variant of structural steel C45.GS45 is suitable for various applications, including frame constructions, building structures, (rear) axles, and bearing housings.
