The SOSPG cast iron bearing housings feature a one-piece design. Their precision rail frame guides the housings through rails. Tension drum bearings are supplied in loose fit configuration to allow for axial expansion of the shaft. Fixed bearings are provided by the use of retaining rings. SOSPG housings can be combined with all existing housing seals.
The non-split housings of the SOSPG series are specifically designed for the installation of self- aligning roller bearings. The shaft diameter ranges from 50 to 90 mm. The sealing is achieved through the use of labyrinth rings. The bearing seat inside the housing is precision-machined to the G7 tolerance class. The standard material for these housings is GG20 steel casting. Upon customer request, these housings can also be manufactured from a different material and alternative sealing options can be provided.

Rugged and space efficient, SOSPG take-up housings provide robust support for heavy radial loads in all directions. Manufactured from grey cast iron. Painted in black (RAL 9005), the paint is resistant to many substances and the enclosures can easily be repainted. Unpainted surfaces are protected with a solvent-free rust inhibitor.
SOSPG Plummer blocks are designed for flexible use. SOSPG seal grooves are machined to the same dimensions as standard plummer blocks. All SNGH and FSCM seal arrangements can be used with SOSPG. You always get effective protection.

GG20 offers excellent machinability and is highly heat and corrosion-resistant. Additionally, this material provides outstanding finishing capabilities and exhibits excellent properties concerning sound and vibration damping. However, its strength and wear resistance are limited.
